About the role

Barclays is recruiting for a Global Transaction Banking Degree Apprenticeship in Northampton, England, starting in 2027. The apprenticeship combines a permanent, full-time job with a professional Financial Services Professional Apprenticeship qualification, earning while studying. The programme is aimed at school leavers and career changers, and is open to anyone regardless of background or age.

Key responsibilities

• Work within Global Transaction Banking, serving mid-sized corporates, large corporates, financial institutions and SMEs with tailored solutions.
• Learn from colleagues across Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, sales, operations, technology, relationship management, compliance and legal teams.
• Build relationships with clients and other financial institutions and gain exposure to global commerce and working capital.

Required profile

• 3 A-levels at BBB (or equivalent).
• GCSE Mathematics grade 6 and English Language grade 4.
• Commitment and enthusiasm, turning up every day ready to work hard.
• Meets the Government's apprentice funding requirements, including a 3-year residence requirement and the legal right to work for the full duration of the programme (August 2027 to August 2031).
• No previous study, training, qualifications, prior funding or support that would make you ineligible for Government apprentice funding.
