Goods In Operative – Warehouse Stock Control

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Goods In Operative to join a fast‑paced logistics operation handling high‑value products. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting and accurately recording inbound stock using our Warehouse Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Safely receive and unload inbound deliveries.
• Inspect incoming goods for quantity, quality and correct documentation.
• Book stock accurately into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verify product information, serial numbers, quantities and HS (Harmonised System) codes.
• Allocate stock to the correct warehouse locations and put away safely.
• Locate stock efficiently for internal departments and outbound orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
• Handle high‑value products with care and follow security procedures.
• Record product dimensions, weights and storage information.
• Support stock counts, inventory audits and collaborate with Warehouse, Inventory and Operations teams.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Goods In, Warehouse Operative or Stock Control.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Experience handling high‑value products with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to book deliveries and maintain precise stock records.
• Knowledge of product dimensions (DIMS) and accurate data entry.
• Understanding of HS codes and related documentation.
• Good numerical skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
