Graduate Academic Mentor – £27k Permanent (Brent)

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Academic Mentor to join an Outstanding‑graded secondary school in Brent. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a pathway to qualified teacher status after one academic year. You will work directly with pupils and teachers to raise attainment across a range of subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver small‑group and one‑to‑one interventions for students who are struggling academically.
• Run booster sessions inside and outside the classroom, tailored to your subject specialism.
• Support class teachers by providing academic assistance and helping students develop study skills.
• Collaborate with senior staff to design and implement targeted improvement strategies.

Required profile

• First‑class or 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university (or equivalent reputable university).
• Strong A‑Level and GCSE results.
• Aspiring secondary teacher with a commitment to go above and beyond for pupils.
• Team player with confidence in a school environment.

• £27,000 annual salary on a permanent contract (13 weeks paid holiday).
