About the role
Join an Outstanding Ofsted‑rated secondary school in Slough as a Graduate Academic Mentor. This full‑time position starts in September 2026 and offers a pathway to qualified teacher status after one academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver targeted small‑group and one‑to‑one interventions for students who need academic support.
- Run booster sessions across a range of subjects, aligned with your specialism.
- Assist class teachers in lesson preparation and delivery, helping raise overall attainment.
- Support pupils’ academic development and monitor progress.
Required profile
- First‑class or 2:1 degree from a Russell Group or similarly reputable university.
- Strong A‑Level and GCSE results.
- Aspiring secondary teacher committed to going above and beyond for pupils.
- Confident, collaborative team player willing to train as a teacher.
Required skills
What we offer
- Daily rate of £110‑£120 for the full academic year.
- Initial fixed‑term contract until July 2027, with the possibility of permanent employment from September 2027.
