Graduate Acoustic Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join our award‑winning acoustics team in Essex. You will support a variety of projects, delivering specialist advice and technical services while developing your expertise in noise, vibration and building acoustics.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out noise surveys and on‑site monitoring for diverse projects.
• Perform predictive noise and vibration modelling.
• Prepare detailed technical reports that meet relevant standards and regulations.
• Assist in creating noise, vibration and dust management plans.
• Provide specialist advice to design teams on building acoustics.
• Support environmental noise impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with Building Regulations.

Required profile

• A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Membership or eligibility for membership with the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with noise modelling software.
• Proficiency in using acoustic measurement tools.
• Capability to conduct predictive noise and vibration modelling.
