About the role

The Graduate ATT-CTA R&D Tax Programme offers a fast‑tracked apprenticeship where you will work towards the ATT‑CTA qualification while supporting clients on Research & Development tax relief claims. You will join Menzies’ R&D tax team in Gatwick and gain experience across client advisory, technical reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess qualifying R&D activities and related expenditure for clients.
• Conduct detailed research and analysis to support tax relief claims.
• Prepare technical reports, tax calculations and submission documentation for HMRC.
• Manage the end‑to‑end claim process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain technical, ethical and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to take on new challenges.
• Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 A‑levels (A‑C) plus one additional A‑level or equivalent.
• Five GCSEs (A*‑C/9‑4) including Maths and English Language.
• Ability to quickly absorb new information and adapt.
• Comfortable working with numbers and strong attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to explain financial information in an accessible manner.
