Graduate Controls System Engineer

About the role

Our client, a European manufacturer of building automation systems, is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic technical engineer to join the engineering team. You will take ownership of projects from specification through to commissioning, working closely with contractors and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Produce control strategies, V21 specification clauses, wiring schematics and lighting layout designs for commercial projects.
• Commission systems on‑site and remotely, guiding electricians and troubleshooting wiring issues.
• Provide technical product guidance to consultants and contractors, recommending appropriate detectors and control solutions.
• Support integration with BACnet/IP and building management platforms, defining required data points.
• Deliver technical support to customers, sales teams and prepare quotation details.

Required profile

• Graduate in Electrical, Building Services, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering with an interest in lighting controls.
• Comfortable communicating with contractors and consultants and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of power supplies, relays and sensors.
• Experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD is a strong plus.
• Awareness of BACnet or BMS integration is a bonus.
