Graduate Data Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a recent graduate to join our Teesside office as a Graduate Data Consultant. You will work with business stakeholders, data teams, and experienced consultants to deliver modern business intelligence solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to understand challenges, requirements, and improvement opportunities.
• Support workshops and meetings to gather and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and maintain process maps.
• Contribute to project documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Assist with testing activities and solution validation before delivery.
• Gather and explore data from multiple sources, performing analysis to identify trends and insights.
• Conduct data quality assessments, cleansing, and support data‑mapping exercises.
• Learn and apply data‑warehousing principles, dimensional modelling, and star schemas.
• Develop practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL and Azure‑based analytics solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence engaging with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Interest in data, technology and business improvement.
• Understanding of databases and data analysis concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or willingness to learn.
