Graduate Design Engineer (Civil Engineering)

About the role

This graduate position offers a fast‑track start for a newly qualified civil engineer. You will work on a diverse portfolio ranging from small domestic schemes to multi‑million‑pound commercial projects, with the possibility to work from home after an initial period.

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate with senior and associate engineers to deliver design solutions.
• Prepare and review design documentation using Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage and Site3D.
• Produce detailed drawings and models in AutoCAD.
• Attend site visits and liaise with clients and contractors as required.

Required profile

• Graduate civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to work on both office‑based and site‑based tasks.
• Ability to travel to the Burgess Hill office and surrounding project sites.
• Motivation to achieve chartered status with company sponsorship.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow software.
• Proficiency in Site3D modelling.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting skills.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering design principles.
