Graduate Electrical Design Engineer – Control Panels

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate or Trainee Electrical Design Engineer to join our Newbury team, working on bespoke control panel projects across multiple industries. You will receive full training and mentorship to develop into a fully‑fledged Design Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical control panel systems.
• Create electrical schematics and technical documentation using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Support workshop builds, testing and commissioning of panels.
• Collaborate with customers and senior engineers to develop project solutions.
• Develop the skills required to manage projects independently.

Required profile

• Graduate, Junior or Trainee Electrical Design Engineer (or similar).
• Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of electrical systems, circuits and engineering principles.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
• Production of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation concepts.
