Graduate Engineer – Automation Training Programme

About the role

This is a full‑time graduate/apprentice position offering comprehensive training to become an Automation Engineer within a global manufacturing company. You will work on designing tooling fixtures, creating documentation for automated equipment and supporting efforts to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain supporting documentation for automated equipment.
• Assist in reducing downtime of critical manufacturing equipment.
• Participate in specialist CAD, robotics and CNC training programmes.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate (or holder of an HNC) with recent graduation or qualified apprenticeship.
• Motivated to progress a career in automation and manufacturing engineering.
• Willing to work a rotating weekly swing shift.

Required skills

• CAD software proficiency.
• Robotics knowledge.
• CNC (Computer Numerical Control) familiarity.
