Graduate Engineering Geologist – Cambridge

About the role

This graduate position offers a newly qualified geologist the chance to join a well‑established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Cambridge. You will work on residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to both site and office environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with ground investigations across a range of project sites
• Log soil and rock samples to British Standards
• Supervise drilling rigs and site investigations
• Carry out in‑situ testing and groundwater monitoring
• Collect environmental and geotechnical data
• Prepare factual ground investigation reports
• Support senior engineers with interpretative reporting and geotechnical assessments

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
• Full UK driving licence
• Enthusiastic about working both on site and in the office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Right to work in the UK
