Graduate Geologist – Cambridge

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Geologist to start a career with a well‑established engineering consultancy in Cambridge. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering geotechnical, civil and structural solutions across the UK, benefiting from strong professional development and collaborative support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with ground investigations on a variety of geotechnical projects.
• Log soil and rock samples in accordance with industry standards.
• Collect and record site data accurately.
• Support the preparation of factual and interpretive geotechnical reports.
• Work alongside experienced engineers and geologists both on‑site and in the office.
• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Living within a commutable distance of Cambridge.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel to sites.
