Graduate Geotechnical Engineer – Edinburgh

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary consultancy in Edinburgh. You will work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of infrastructure, transport, commercial and residential projects, gaining hands‑on experience in geotechnical design and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Support geotechnical design and assessment across multiple sectors.
• Perform geotechnical calculations, ground modelling and prepare technical reports.
• Interpret ground investigation data and contribute to geotechnical report writing.
• Collaborate with civil and structural engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in mentoring, training and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical mindset with a keen interest in geotechnical design.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
