Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Primary Schools (Barnet)

About the role
We are seeking recent graduates to join primary schools in Barnet as Learning Support Assistants for the full academic year starting September 2026. This full‑time, term‑time position offers hands‑on classroom experience and a chance to explore a career in education, teaching, or related support services.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and other educational professionals.
- Support children with special educational needs and promote inclusive learning.
- Assist with behaviour management, communication activities and child development tasks.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support during lessons and activities.
Required profile
- Degree in any subject.
- Interest in working with children and young people.
- Previous experience with children (e.g., tutoring, coaching, volunteering).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional references.
