Graduate M&E Engineer – 2‑Year Training Programme

About the role

This 2‑year graduate training programme is designed for recent engineering graduates who are passionate about sustainability, mechanical and electrical (M&E) building services, and the built environment. Based in Swindon, you will work on live projects, gaining hands‑on experience while developing professional accreditation.

Key responsibilities

• Produce engineering designs for mechanical, electrical and building physics systems.
• Advise clients on net‑zero carbon strategies and renewable energy solutions.
• Conduct thermal modelling and energy‑use assessments.
• Support BREEAM and other sustainability assessments.
• Perform on‑site inspections to ensure installations match design specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, quantity surveyors and specialist consultants.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or related engineering discipline.
• Strong interest in sustainability and low‑carbon design.
• Willingness to work on-site in Swindon and travel to project locations as needed.
