Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer – Training & Progression

About the role

We are looking for a recent graduate in mechanical design to join an expanding Energy Solutions company in Poole. The role offers full in‑house training, technical surveying instruction and a clear pathway for progression as the business secures major contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior design engineers on a variety of projects.
• Develop and modify 3‑D models using SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
• Assist in the preparation of design documentation and calculations.
• Participate in the full project life‑cycle from concept through to delivery.
• Undertake technical surveying training and apply findings to design work.

Required profile

• Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer or a closely related degree.
• Strong desire to develop a career in mechanical design and engineering.
• Interest in building services or HVAC design is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor.
• Familiarity with CAD packages and technical drawing standards.
• Basic understanding of technical surveying concepts.
