Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Gloucester

About the role
This full‑time, temporary position offers recent graduates the chance to support children with special educational needs (SEN) in a welcoming school environment in Gloucester. You will work alongside experienced teachers and SEN coordinators, gaining hands‑on classroom experience while contributing to inclusive education.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
- Assist in delivering personalised learning plans created by teachers and the SENCo.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual requirements.
- Promote independence, inclusion and engagement among students.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and families to monitor progress.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a genuine interest in SEN.
- Degree in Psychology, Education or a related field is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexible, proactive and adaptable attitude.
- Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
