Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (Part/Full-time)

About the role

This graduate position supports Special Educational Needs (SEN) pupils in Bristol schools during school hours. It is suitable for candidates with a keen interest in inclusive education and can be undertaken on a part‑time or full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to SEN pupils and assist the class teacher with all pupils.
• Help pupils progress academically and develop independent learning skills.
• Encourage participation in social and academic activities.
• Assist with behaviour management and support social‑emotional development.
• Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, health and safety.

Required profile

• Experience working with children who have additional needs, preferably in an SEN setting.
• Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or higher, or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Other relevant higher or equivalent qualifications are welcomed.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Availability to work between 08:30‑15:30 on weekdays during term‑time.
