Graduate Software Engineer

About the role

Theodo is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join its London engineering team. This full‑time position offers the chance to work on live client projects from day one, collaborating with experienced engineers across the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test and maintain production code as part of a cross‑functional delivery team.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and daily stand‑ups.
• Partner with senior engineers to learn best practices in design, testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, communicating progress and gathering feedback.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously develop skills through on‑the‑job learning, mentoring and training.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Passion for technology, problem‑solving and continuous learning.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Proactive, curious and comfortable asking questions.
• Eagerness to take ownership of tasks and grow professionally.

Required skills

• Solid foundation in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#).
• Understanding of core computer‑science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms and version control.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Exposure to web development, databases or cloud platforms (through coursework, internships or personal projects) is a plus.
