Graduate Software Engineer - UI

About the role

Join the UI team at Elwood Technologies to build the front‑end of a real‑time trading and portfolio‑management platform. You will work with large volumes of market and position data, turning complex, fast‑moving information into clear, responsive visualisations for traders and portfolio managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user interfaces using TypeScript and React.
• Integrate streaming, real‑time data feeds for live prices, orders, positions and P&L.
• Present large, fast‑changing datasets through interactive grids and charting components.
• Ensure UI performance and data accuracy, avoiding lag and visual errors.
• Collaborate with senior developers, participate in code reviews and progressively take ownership of features.

Required profile

• Curious and motivated to explore unfamiliar technical challenges.
• Enjoy working with complex, messy data and turning it into understandable screens.
• Detail‑oriented, especially where financial accuracy is critical.
• Strong verbal and written communication for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Passionate about a career in FinTech and interested in crypto/digital assets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience with TypeScript and React.
• Understanding of modern front‑end architecture (components, state, rendering).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative codebases.
• Desirable: experience with Next.js or Vite, data‑heavy UI libraries such as ag‑Grid or Highcharts, and real‑time technologies like WebSockets.
