About the role
Data Intellect’s Graduate Academy offers a 3‑month intensive training programme in Belfast, designed to turn recent STEM graduates into kdb+ developers. You will learn the Q programming language and the kdb+ time‑series database, then be placed with leading investment banks or hedge funds worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Complete a structured 3‑month training covering Q language and kdb+ fundamentals.
- Develop expertise in capturing, storing, analysing and visualising large financial data sets.
- Collaborate with global finance teams in hubs such as London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore or Toronto.
- Travel internationally to work on real‑world projects for investment banks and hedge funds.
Required profile
- 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in any STEM discipline.
- Willingness to relocate to a global hub after training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem‑solving mindset and collaborative team attitude.
- Detail‑oriented with a “can‑do” approach.
- Coding experience is a plus.
