About the role

Our client, a specialist tax advisory firm in Leeds, is seeking a motivated Graduate Tax Associate. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates who want to develop a career in tax, offering exposure to a broad range of tax matters and support for professional qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Research current tax legislation and produce detailed advice reports.
• Prepare tax computations and submit tax returns for clients.
• Maintain client databases, ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tax projects and monitor client billing.
• Stay informed of tax law changes to provide commercial insight.
• Contribute to marketing activities such as blog writing and social media management.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive learning attitude.
• Minimum 2:1 degree, preferably in law, accounting, economics or business.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade B/6 or above, and three A‑levels at grade B or higher.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
