Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full‑Time School Role

About the role
This full‑time Graduate Teaching Assistant position starts in September 2026 at a high‑performing secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea. It offers recent graduates valuable classroom experience, particularly in Religious Education and humanities, before they move on to teacher training or a long‑term education career.
Key responsibilities
- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, focusing on Religious Education and humanities.
- Deliver targeted one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions to raise attainment and confidence.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and resource creation.
- Help students of varying abilities access learning and achieve academic targets.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and participation during lessons.
- Contribute to revision sessions, examination preparation, and progress tracking.
Required profile
- Degree in Religious Education, Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics or a closely related discipline.
- Full‑time availability for the entire academic year (September 2026 – July 2027).
- Enthusiasm for supporting young learners and collaborating with teaching staff.
