Graduate Teaching Assistant

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support Key Stage 3 & 4 students (ages 11‑16) in a vibrant North London school. You will work on a 1:1 and small‑group basis, helping learners raise attainment, confidence and self‑esteem while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups during lessons.
• Assist teachers in delivering high‑quality lessons and enrichment activities.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to personalised learning plans.
• Participate actively in classroom activities, offering guidance and encouragement.
• Collaborate with school staff and student leaders to promote a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or aspiring teacher with a passion for working with young people.
• Experience mentoring or tutoring students at university level is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Commitment to the school’s ethos of student leadership and responsibility.
