Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Barnet)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support a small Church of England primary school in Barnet. This full‑time, contract role offers hands‑on classroom experience and a clear pathway towards teacher training for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Support individual pupils, including those with SEND, to achieve their potential.
• Lead small intervention groups to raise attainment and build confidence.
• Assist teachers in delivering high‑quality lessons and learning activities.
• Help create an inclusive environment where all pupils feel supported.

Required profile

• Graduate‑level qualification.
• Proactive, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Genuine interest in working with children and pursuing a teaching career.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a classroom setting.
• Previous experience with young people is preferable but not essential.
