Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Newham)

About the role

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic recent graduates to support primary‑school classrooms in Newham. Starting in September 2026, you will gain hands‑on experience while helping pupils learn and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.

Required profile

• A university degree in any discipline.
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Required skills

• Basic IT literacy for classroom tools.
