About the role
This full‑time Graduate Teaching Assistant position supports secondary students (Year 7‑11) in a Hackney‑based school. It offers aspiring teachers valuable classroom experience before starting teacher training.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
- Support pupils of varying abilities across all secondary year groups.
- Observe and learn a range of teaching styles and techniques.
- Help prepare teaching materials and manage classroom resources.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with some paid or voluntary experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, overseas teaching).
- Enthusiasm for a career in secondary education.
- Availability to start in September and work Monday‑Friday.
