Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑Time)

About the role
We are looking for a recent graduate to join a high‑achieving secondary school in Brent as a Graduate Teaching Assistant starting September 2026. This full‑time, fixed‑term position offers the chance to work alongside experienced teachers, support pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4, and develop the classroom skills needed for future teacher training.
Key responsibilities
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students across a range of subjects.
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions to boost progress and confidence.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities and management.
- Support pupils with SEND and other diverse learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and give feedback to teaching staff.
- Help students with coursework, revision and exam preparation.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and school events as required.
Required profile
- A degree in any discipline.
- Strong interest in a teaching or education career.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, proactive and adaptable attitude.
- Ability to build relationships with students and staff.
