Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a recent graduate with a Maths or Science degree to join a secondary school in the W10 area as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. The role provides classroom support and offers a pathway into a teaching career.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students to reinforce learning.
- Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
- Monitor student progress and report observations to the lead teacher.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science or a related discipline.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their academic development.
- Recent or up‑to‑date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete it).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of secondary‑school maths or science curricula.
What we offer
- Full‑time temporary contract until the end of the academic year.
- Competitive daily rate (£95‑£115 per day, dependent on experience).
- Working hours 8:00 am‑4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.
