Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support learning, engagement, attendance and wellbeing in a high‑performing secondary school. Working closely with teachers and the SEN department, you will help students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support across KS3 and KS4.
• Support students across a range of subjects in the classroom.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Monitor progress and contribute to reports and feedback.
• Support pupils with SEND in collaboration with the SEN team.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people or in an educational setting (desirable but not essential).
• A genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, patient, and adaptable attitude.
• A degree in any subject area.
