About the role
This Graduate Teaching Assistant position offers recent graduates a chance to start a career in education while supporting pupils in primary and secondary schools across Essex and Suffolk. You will join a welcoming school community, helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and assisting students to achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Support classroom learning across a range of subjects.
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions.
- Encourage pupil confidence, engagement and independence.
- Assist children with additional needs, including SEND.
- Help teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Hold a degree in any subject.
- Interest in a future career in education or working with young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
