Graduate/Junior Electrical Design Engineer – Control Panels

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Graduate or Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our established engineering team. You will receive extensive training and mentorship while working on bespoke control panel projects across a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing bespoke electrical control panel systems.
• Create electrical schematics and technical documentation using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Support workshop build and testing activities.
• Collaborate with customers and senior engineers to develop project specifications.
• Develop the skills required to manage projects independently over time.

Required profile

• Graduate, Junior or Trainee Electrical Design Engineer (or equivalent).
• Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or comparable qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of electrical systems, circuits and engineering principles.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
• Ability to produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation concepts.
• Familiarity with control panel design.
