Graphic Designer – Publishing & Design Team

About the role

Transport for London is looking for a Graphic Designer to join its Publishing and Graphic Design team. You will create high‑quality visual and editorial solutions that support TfL’s brand and public‑service objectives, working both in the office and from home.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative, cost‑effective design and editorial solutions for a range of TfL communications, including digital documents, signage and promotional collateral.
• Act as an internal consultant on graphic‑design issues, providing guidance to project teams and external consultancies.
• Maintain and evolve design standards across the organisation, ensuring compliance with TfL guidelines and best‑practice.
• Collaborate with the Publishing Lead, Graphic Design Manager and Production Manager throughout the project lifecycle, from proposal to implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve design processes and standards.

Required profile

• Strong project‑management capability.
• Excellent written, drawn and oral communication skills.
• High‑quality presentation and promotional abilities, able to achieve results through others.
• Ability to balance design, heritage and accessibility requirements with operational needs.
• Skill in resolving conflicting design priorities and objectives.
