Ground Crew Instructor

About the role

As a Ground Crew Instructor you will deliver specialist refuelling operations training to phase‑two trainees and students in the Army Air Corps, based at the Stockbridge depot. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to shape future military professionals while developing your own expertise in defence, aerospace and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical instruction on military refuel vehicles.
• Maintain subject‑matter expertise and keep training currency up to date.
• Develop engaging training materials and lesson plans.
• Manage fleet maintenance and fuel account records.
• Support trainees by tracking progress and producing reports.

Required profile

• Experience delivering high‑level training in a structured environment.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office to create and present materials.
• Hands‑on experience with military refuel vehicles.
• ADR Licence (Modules *, 6) and full UK driving licence with C+E category.
• Defence Instructional Technique (or equivalent) – preferred.
• ADR (HAZMAT) Instructor (DST Registered) – preferred.
• Defence Train the Trainer Course – preferred.
