About the role

Meadfleet Open Space Management is seeking a proactive Grounds Maintenance Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of more than 25 residential developments across the Leicester‑Reading corridor. This field‑based position blends regular site inspections with structured, home‑based administration, ensuring high standards of open‑space quality, biodiversity, and contractor performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sub‑contractor performance, driving continuous quality improvements through proactive audit management.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance biodiversity and visual impact across all managed sites.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for open‑space quality, fostering positive relationships with residents and customers.
• Audit site performance using tablet‑based technology and generate actionable data for improvements.
• Strengthen contractor partnerships by monitoring performance metrics and taking ownership of site enhancements.
• Ensure consistent quality across the portfolio by auditing compliance with established procedures.

Required profile

• Proven track record in operational management and leading contractors in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear communicator with strong stakeholder‑management skills.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Ability to multitask effectively using technology to track work and solve problems.
• Passion for horticulture and environmental improvements; ecology knowledge is a plus.
