Grounds Maintenance Driver

About the role

Berry Recruitment is seeking a reliable Grounds Maintenance Driver to join a client’s team in Enfield, North London. The role involves operating a 3.5‑tonne vehicle and performing a variety of horticultural and grounds‑keeping tasks throughout the workday.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and maintain a company vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes, ensuring all safety checks are completed.
• Carry out grounds maintenance duties such as shrub cutting, hedge pruning, strimming, weeding and litter picking.
• Operate small powered tools including petrol hedgecutters and leaf blowers.
• Follow daily work schedules and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Report any defects or maintenance needs for vehicles and equipment promptly.
• Liaise professionally with the public, team members, managers and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Ability to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle safely.
• Physical fitness to get in and out of the vehicle and perform manual tasks.
• Commitment to a Monday‑Friday, 42‑hour week starting at 7:15 am.
