Grounds Maintenance Operative – Bridgwater

About the role

We are seeking reliable Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our outdoor team in Bridgwater. You will help keep local green spaces immaculate, working Monday to Friday with early finishes on Fridays. This role offers a clear path from a temporary position to permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate petrol grass strimmers and hedge cutters to maintain tidy borders.
• Use push mowers and pedestrian mowers for lawn upkeep.
• Clear weeds from planted borders and pathways.
• Assist with general outdoor tidying, litter picking and site cleanliness.
• Follow safety guidelines while using tools and machinery.

Required profile

• Previous practical experience with petrol garden machinery such as strimmers or hedge cutters.
• A full, valid UK driving licence (essential).
• Reliability and enjoyment of physical outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Punctual, hardworking and able to work well within a small crew.

What we offer

• £13.69 per hour with guaranteed 37‑hour week.
• Consistent daytime hours: Mon‑Thu 07:30‑15:30, Fri 07:30‑15:00.
