Groundsperson (School Estates)

About the role

The school is seeking an experienced Groundsperson to join its Estates team, maintaining safe and attractive outdoor learning environments across several primary school sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance and landscaping duties across multiple school locations.
• Maintain outdoor spaces to a high standard throughout the year.
• Operate hand‑held and powered gardening equipment safely and effectively.
• Drive works vehicles between sites as required.
• Assist with a variety of site maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or gardening.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a proactive team.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in maintaining high standards.

Required skills

• Operation of hand‑held gardening equipment.
• Operation of powered gardening equipment.
• Driving works vehicles.
