Groundworker & Installation Operative – Bus Shelter Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Groundworker / Installation Operative to join a leading manufacturer of street furniture in the North East. The role involves travelling to multiple sites across Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Durham to install, assemble and maintain bus shelters and other street furniture. You will work Monday‑Friday with occasional overnight stays and overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Install and assemble bus shelters and various street furniture items.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on installed structures.
• Travel to different sites across the North East and adapt to varying site conditions.
• Occasionally stay overnight away from home to complete assignments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in groundworks, civil excavations or related engineering tasks.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• CSCS card or NRSWA qualification.
