Groundworker

About the role

Ian Williams is expanding its Response team in the Exmouth area and is looking for a skilled Groundworker to carry out reactive repairs in domestic settings. You will work directly with customers, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

Key responsibilities

• Perform external domestic groundworks, including brickwork, flagstone laying, brickwork pointing and small concrete works.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in residential properties, applying problem‑solving techniques.
• Maintain health and safety standards for yourself, colleagues and customers.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade – preferred but not essential.
• Experience in domestic or social housing environments is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong customer‑service attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
