Group Accountant – 6 month Fixed Term

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing technology company in Central London, is seeking a Group Accountant on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will play a key part in consolidating financial results across the group and delivering insightful management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support group consolidation and preparation of group financial reporting, including functional reporting.
• Deliver monthly financial reporting, automate functional reports, and implement regional and product‑level P&L reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
• Review junior team members' work, ensure quality control, and develop the team.
• Assist with audit transition to a new auditor.
• Identify and drive process improvements across the finance function.
• Leverage AI tools and lead finance transformation projects to improve efficiency and automation.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong technical foundation with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
• Self‑starter who can work independently with minimal guidance.
• Passion for process improvement and change management.
• Extensive financial and management accounting experience.
• Experience preparing group reporting by function.
• Exposure to multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidation.
• Comfort with finance technology, automation, and AI tools.
