Group Accountant – Consolidation & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Group Accountant to join a high‑calibre Group Finance team in London. This position offers strong visibility across the business and clear pathways for internal progression, making it an ideal first move into industry for an audit professional.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full consolidation process, including month‑end and financial control procedures.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting activities for the plc and the wider group.
• Maintain and document internal controls and procedures.
• Support the Group Finance Manager as a business partner to cost‑center heads.
• Prepare corporation tax and VAT returns.
• Review work produced by finance graduates and junior accountants.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification with 1‑2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 16, and consolidation techniques.
• Experience working with listed companies.
• High technical ability with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
