Group Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Group Accountant to join our finance team in Maidenhead. You will support a portfolio of six companies, working across multiple accounting and ERP platforms while driving process improvements and system integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase and sales ledgers end‑to‑end for all entities.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and banking platforms.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, pre‑payments, journal entries and financial analysis.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting and foreign‑currency requirements.
• Process employee expenses and corporate credit‑card transactions.
• Assist with year‑end audits and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee inventory processes such as purchase orders, sales orders, invoicing and stock reconciliations.
• Provide user support, troubleshooting and administration for financial and operational systems.
• Participate in ERP implementation, system integrations, testing, data validation and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate financial records, internal controls and procedural documentation.

Required profile

• Strong accounting knowledge with experience preparing management accounts.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage priorities independently while collaborating across the business.
• Experience supporting finance system implementations or process‑improvement initiatives is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other AI‑enabled reporting tools.
