Group Facilitator – Multi‑Sensory Centre

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and practical Group Facilitator to join our multi‑sensory centre, The Space, in Preston. You will work alongside carers to maximise the benefits of our sensory facilities for children and adults with additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and nurture groups of participants, adapting activities to the specific needs of each session.
• Deliver a flexible, adaptable service as daily schedules change based on attending groups.
• Perform basic administrative and IT tasks, including record‑keeping and use of centre technology.
• Communicate clearly with carers, participants, and team members.
• Work a rotating roster that includes evenings, weekends and occasional holidays.

Required profile

• Committed, positive and person‑centred approach.
• Experience supporting people with physical or learning disabilities, including autism.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, seven days a week.

Required skills

• Basic IT skills.
