Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing £50 m advertising business based in London. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own the group’s financial control environment and partner with senior stakeholders to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end close, statutory reporting, group consolidations and all technical accounting matters across multiple entities.
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial information while maintaining strong financial governance and compliance.
• Drive improvements to financial processes, reporting, internal controls and support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Own the year‑end audit, tax compliance and preparation of statutory accounts, acting as the primary contact for external auditors and advisors.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, enhance finance systems and support commercial projects, acquisitions and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller or Head of Finance in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong technical accounting background with commercial awareness to partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in advertising, media, marketing, technology or other project‑based businesses is advantageous.
