Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a commercially minded Group Financial Controller with fluent German to join a fast‑growing international market leader. You will own group reporting, treasury governance and tax oversight across a complex multi‑entity structure, working closely with the CFO and Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the group consolidation process and deliver accurate, timely reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Oversee treasury management and liquidity planning across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage group tax governance and compliance for international operations.
• Strengthen financial controls, improve reporting processes and enhance finance system data integrity.
• Lead the Group audit process and develop a high‑performing central finance team.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight that supports strategic growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive group reporting experience in an international, multi‑entity environment.
• Fluent German speaker capable of building strong relationships across German‑speaking regions.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including multi‑currency consolidations and IFRS, UK GAAP, German GAAP and/or US GAAP.
• Proven treasury and tax oversight experience within a complex international group.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Experience with consolidation systems and ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, German GAAP, US GAAP.
