Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead finance for a multi‑billion‑dollar listed company operating in over 100 countries. The role sits at the heart of group finance, responsible for technical reporting, consolidation and ensuring robust control processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group consolidation and IFRS reporting across multiple international entities.
• Serve as the single point of contact for statutory reporting, preparing monthly statutory accounts and supplementary analysis.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for group system implementation, collaborating with project leads to design, remediate and improve processes.
• Partner with the Group Head of Internal Controls to design and implement appropriate control systems.
• Prepare monthly statutory accounts and reconcile them to management accounts.
• Oversee the monthly global balance‑sheet reconciliation review, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Manage the relationship with external auditors and coordinate the group audit process.
• Provide technical accounting expertise to senior stakeholders, including M&A activity.
• Work closely with Internal Audit to own, implement and refine SOX controls.

Required profile

• ACA, CPA or CA qualification.
• Extensive experience in IFRS, group consolidation and technical accounting.
• Proven track record managing audits in complex multi‑entity organisations.
• Experience working within a group function of a large multinational business.
• Strong leadership ability with experience developing and managing people.
