About the role
Our client, a well‑established charity in London, is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the full financial reporting cycle across a multi‑entity structure. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own monthly management accounts, group consolidation, year‑end statutory accounts and budgeting for UK and international subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
- Review and reconcile balance sheets, including inter‑company balances.
- Produce annual budgets and group‑consolidated statutory accounts.
- Manage and develop the Bookkeeper.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, regulators and external consultants.
- Maintain financial controls, systems and compliance across the group.
Required profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA or ACCA).
- Strong experience with multi‑entity/multi‑subsidiary accounting.
- Proven track record preparing group consolidated statutory accounts.
- Charity sector experience preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and staff‑management abilities.
Required skills
- Xero accounting software.
