Group Financial Controller

About the role

Marks Sattin is seeking a Group Financial Controller for a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed business based in Manchester city centre. The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong technical accounting expertise and experience in complex, multi‑entity environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present the group consolidated financial statements.
• Lead the timely delivery of management reporting and investor reporting.
• Drive process and system improvements across the finance function.
• Provide financial information for acquisitions and support due‑diligence activities.
• Prepare and review year‑end statutory accounts and ensure VAT and tax compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls and oversee the finance team.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Proven experience in a complex, multi‑entity business, preferably PE‑backed.
• Strong technical accounting skills and experience consolidating accounts.
• Excellent staff management abilities and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
